YOUTH NEW SCHOOL
The ACID NEXT GENERATION is a board designed for the younger riders or the "next generation". It is light and nimble on the water with an aggressive pop, and its progressive flex technology has made the flexibility of the board perfect for lighter riders who enjoy riding new school freestyle.
Once again F-One have done a fantastic job in engineering this board. The Paulownia wood core base is sandwiched between 45 degree Bi-Axial and Uni-Directional glass fibre, all outlined by a ABS sidewall and completed by the top sheets. The foot mounts are ABS inserts reinforced with fiberglass.
With the INVERTED RAIL, they have gained support and a more progressive contact in the water. Starting with a surfing rail type, they have kept the bottom part and the end result is a reversed rail profile. Its entry into the water is more gradual and the board feedback is softer.
The WOOD CORE forms the center of your board and gives it most of its physical properties: strength, flex and resilience.
The DIRECT DRIVE refers to a board with minimal thickness, a full wood core and a fiberglass envelope. These elements provide maximum durability and make the board, responsive as it erases the flaws of the water surface.
The V DOUBLE CONCAVE bottom shapes combines a V shape with two concave channels. It provides maneuverability while the concave channels the water along the board. The result is a responsive board that is comfortable to ride with easy landings.
TWIST CARBON CONTROL controls the board’s twist and transversal reactivity. Depending on the model, this cross-shaped structure is either an add-on or cnc-machined directly into the wood core. The Twist Control can also optimize the ratio weight/rigidity and weight/reactivity.
The DYNAMIC FLEX controls flexibility, impact absorption and comfort; comfort does not mean sacrificing control and performance. This board can absorb the chop, without compromising the control and edging.
