Nick Jacobsen has been described as many things, but a serious competitive athlete is not one of them! However this year the Dane broke through and surprised everyone by going into the competition and throwing down a never seen before trick, the kite loop front roll one footer. Nick rode smoothly and consistently thought the competition on his 9 meter 2017 Cabrinah Switchblade, impressing the crowd with his large aerial maneuvers right close to the beach. It was enough to dethrone English rider Aaron Hadlow who had won the competition the last two years running with is signature trick, the kite loop KGB.
